Live COVID-19 updates: 450 new cases reported in UAE, 46,133 in total

Beijing - The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. - - - - DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday announced 450 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 46,133. UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement the new cases of many nationalities are in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment. - - - - RABAT -- Morocco on Wednesday reported 563 new COVID-19 cases, the biggest single-day increase so far in the North African country.

The total tally of infections in the country rose to 10,907, said Hind Ezzine, head of the Department of Epidemic Diseases of the Ministry of Health, in a regular press briefing. - - - - ADEN, Yemen -- The total number of COVID-19 cases in Yemen's government-controlled provinces increased to 1,015 on Wednesday, as 23 new cases were confirmed. The Yemeni Health Ministry said in a brief press statement that during the past 24 hours, the number of recoveries in the government-controlled areas increased to 379 since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus on April 10. - - - - COLOMBO -- China on Wednesday donated its third batch of medical aid to Sri Lanka to help the country fight the COVID-19 virus which has to date infected over 2,000 people in the country and caused 11 deaths.
